Hey everyone! Just me here saying hi and letting you know that I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth. We moved into our new house on Wednesday, August 3rd. It was 107 here that day. Whew! Hot, hot, hot. Not much has changed in that regard in the last couple of weeks. It is surreal to realize that the temps in Arizona are often cooler than ours here this summer, but our humidity is much higher. We have been a drippy mess anytime we've ventured to the out of doors. Can't wait for fall - maybe it will come in November or so.
I still do not have internet connection. We were promised that it would be there when we moved in or soon after, but we are still waiting. Last word is in the next 2-3 weeks. I am pretty much going nuts just using my iPhone. I'm skimming a few blog posts, but not even attempting to comment. I have one more post scheduled for next week - a Waiting on Wednesday post that I was going to have for tomorrow, but I'm pushing it back. Maybe, maybe I'll have the ability to update soon. Tonight, I'm sitting here with my husband's laptop as he attends a meeting. I've frantically been paying some bills and other things that are hard to do without online access.
The house is great though. I'm looking forward to sharing my new updates and getting back in the swing of things here. Soon as I can, I'll be around. So, hello and I'm still here. More to come...
Moving is no fun, but new houses are GREAT! Congrats and let us know when you start reading again... or at least, reading things that aren't bills. :D

I am probably the last person on earth who doesn't pay bills online. I even have several that aren't paid automatically. I still love sitting down at my desk with the checkbook and paying the bills the old way. I also like checking my checking account. I know, there isn't even a 'geek' adjective for this. Desk geek, perhaps.

ReplyDeleteGlad to know that you're all moved in (I'm behind on responding to emails!), but what a bummer that you're still without Internet access. I've been "unplugged" quite a bit this week since we've had house guests. I may catch up again over the weekend, but I have a huge pile of books to review!
