Not a clue when I'll be back or even if I will...

Hello everyone. I'm writing this from my iPhone so will be succinct. I have no idea when we will have Internet capability. It may be several more weeks. I have several blog tours that I had promised to do and I'm not sure if those will be accomplished or not. I'll try to be in contact with the publicists. Our area has been hard hit with fires this past weekend. We are safe for now but we do have a plan in case. I'm loving the country but Texas is a giant tinderbox just ready to burn up if the conditions are right. Sigh. Many people we know have had to evacuate or have lost their homes. So tragic. In any case, our cable/Internet connection is on hold for now as the company repairs burned equipment.

I'll be back someday. Take care and pray for Texas to get some rain. The situation is dire.

  11. Oh Kay, living in burn-ready northern California, I can completely empathize. Please stay safe. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I know how stressful and anxiety-producing these situations can be. *big hugs* Let us know, when you can, how you are doing.

  12. I'm so glad you posted to keep us up to date, Kay. And like others, I wish I could scoop up some rain and bring it down. I remember when we visited our cousins' ranch in the nineties, he said they hadn't had rain for two years. I think I told you they were 'burning pear' - burning the prickles off the prickly pear cactus to give the cows something to eat. Love to you.

  19. I've been watching the news in TX, thinking of you, and my friends who have property in Bastrop, and of course, my kiddo in Dallas. It's a terrible situation and I hope you get some rain soon! We'll be here if you ever get connected to the Internet. Know that you are missed and that we're all thinking of you!! Love you, Kay!

  21. Thinking about you Kay and doing my raindancing every chance I get. We headed out to Scott's parents last weekend (Coleman/Brownwood area) and the scorched woods out there were devasating and I don't think they begin to compare with what y'all are dealing with. Hope your beautiful new home remains safe (as do you, of course).
